Al Unser arrived at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the USAC National Championship points leader in May of 1970. After missing last years race due to breaking his leg before qualifying, Al had another reason for having a good month and getting into the race. Al battled for the top of the speed chart during the month with his brother Bobby, Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Dan Gurney, Mark Donohue, Lloyd Ruby, Joe Leonard, Mel Kenyon, Gary Bettenhausen, Gordon Johncock, Roger McCluskey, Art Pollard, Jim McElreath, Peter Revson and others. But it was Al who would be at or near the top of the speed charts and capture the pole position by the closest margin in Speedway history over Johnny Rutherford. Now the only question was, could he carry the momentum into the race?

Now First Turn Productions is proud to present our next DVD - 1970: "Lightning Al" with all the sights and sounds of the month of May at Indy in 1970. Nearly 60 minutes from practice, qualifying and the race all in color and DVD quality. Bonus footage of cars that missed the race too!
